Who are we?

Brussels Law Office is an independent initiative composed of Turkish legal professionals, academics, and subject-matter experts based in different countries. Bringing together expertise from various fields—including criminal law, administrative law, human rights law, and international law—our members are united by a common objective: to promote justice, uphold the rule of law, and contribute to the pursuit of truth.

Brussels Law Office is committed to supporting individuals affected by human rights violations in Türkiye and to advancing the principles of justice, fundamental rights, and the rule of law at the international level.

What do we do?

Brussels Law Office monitors and documents human rights violations occurring in and originating from Türkiye, provides legal assistance to victims, and works to ensure that such violations are effectively brought to the attention of national and international legal and human rights mechanisms.

Our work focuses in particular on arbitrary detention, unfair trials, extrajudicial killings, human rights violations in prisons, the right to a fair trial, and judicial independence. Through legal advocacy, strategic litigation, and international engagement, we seek to promote accountability, strengthen the rule of law, and advance the protection of fundamental rights.

“Justice is not the voice of silence, but the voice of solidarity.”
