The report documents that, in Türkiye, individuals’ property rights have been systematically interfered with in the post-2014 period through trustee appointments, seizure and confiscation practices, status-based barriers to access to banking and insurance services, the criminalisation of acts that do not constitute offences, and the lack of effective investigations. It demonstrates that these practices conflict with the standards set out in the Constitution and the ECHR.
