The report shows that, in the Gaziantep-based operations carried out on 6 May 2025 across 47 provinces, hundreds of people — most of them university students aged between 18 and 25 — were arbitrarily investigated on allegations of “membership of an organisation.” It highlights that audio recordings of uncertain origin and integrity, together with secret witness statements, were made the backbone of the investigation, while fundamental safeguards such as access to a lawyer and lawful, individualised accusations were systematically eroded.
